Take some deep breaths, deepen yourself into whatever level of somatic meditation is available today.

As you attend to the soma and invite it to take up space, to offer you its experience, to amplify its being—treat it with the following attitude:

The Soma is a large mammal; it has been sleeping for some time, and is just now waking up. You are nearby, and would like to greet it when it does wake up.

Extend this attitude, noticing and cultivating this subtle blend of patience, gentleness, caution, and admiration.

Take as long as you need in the practice, and as long as you need to integrate afterwards. Allow your integration to take any form it wants, from journaling to stretching to making tea.
